The best pupusas in the area. Period! The pupusas are huge and loaded with either cheese and beans or pork and cheese. The curtido (cabbage) is awesome. I've also had the plantains with Salvadoran cream and refried beans. Yummoso!!! Everything here is cooked fresh. The prices are great.

Let me preface this two star review with some information about myself: I have an iron stomach. I enjoy spicy foods that would normally cause others pain and despair. If it can clear out my sinuses and make the temples of my male-pattern baldness ravaged head sweat, then chances are, I will eat it. The food served at Rios Taqueria is not what I would call spicy. This restaurant serves Mexican/Salvadorean fare that is laden with cheese. That is not really a problem, however. I found the pupusas to be fairly decent, the fajitas were on point. Not bad at all. The salsa unfortunately tastes somewhat canned. Not having a liquor license really hurts this place a great deal, but they do have a wide variety of fruit shakes. The waitstaff is very attentive and happy to answer any questions you might have about the menu. The most unfortunate aspect of this restaurant is that I think I may have experienced an unfortunate case of mild food poisoning. I came here after moving across states and nearly shit myself to death within a few hours of eating here. Seriously...I felt like the capuchin monkey from "Outbreak."

Very good and very solid food. I've been there three times so this review will mention a few dishes. Each time I've been there it's been rather empty which is fine because it should mean that food should be out quick and the service should be on point and it was. After I was quickly seated I was given chips and salsa. The salsa was pretty watery. Not a lot of fresh cut tomatoes in there. I did order the steak nachos, steak quesadilla, tacos, beef soup, chicken quesadilla and steak fajita. They get meat right. There is no question about that (I have not had their prime rib but that is next). The nachos were okay. Pretty basic stuff with beans, shredded cheese, jalapenos, cream and of course the steak. Unlike some other steak nachos I've had their steak chunks are pretty good. They're not dry, they're not small either. Pretty juicy to be honest. The quesadilla's are pretty great especially the steak one (again they get beef right). It comes with guacamole, pico de gallo and cream. Standard accoutrements for quesadillas. The beef soup again was typical latin soup. Nice hearty broth and the meat was on point. Not quite mom level broth but whatever. I'm fine with it. The steak fajita is up to snuff as well. These aren't complicated dishes by any means (if they were you wouldn't see so many late night infomercials selling you a gadget to help you easily make them) so nothing was screwed up and I can tell by the flavoring of the meat that they have their own house recipe because they're great at it. I almost forgot about the pupusas. In this area lots of places sell them from food trucks to brick and mortar stores. While I hesitate to pronounce one as "the best" for pupusas in the area I can say that Rios does a damn fine pupusas. That statement alone could cause animus between consumers but when it comes to pupusas it's all subjective and for the price no one can really complain.

I walked to no one in the entire place, no music, no tv turned on and seemed like the door was open. They only waiter there came over and took our orders and brought over chips and salsa. I swear it was tomato soup. I didn't have any hope the food would be good but I was wrong. The Carne asada was good but the pupusas were great. Might go back but i think il do take out.

Salsa has few chunks, waiters assured me they serve enchilada sauce on their enchiladas, you have to get three of the same kinds of enchiladas, nobody wanted to try on the big Mexican hat. Enchiladas came with no traditional enchilada sauce, this is the second Salvadori place that is done this. The three enchiladas were very good aside from that, I will go back for other dishes. They're open at 5 AM for breakfast. I will tidy up this review with a real keyboard later.

Delicious! I got one of each papusa (pork, cheese, beans) and plantains. My sister got carne asana tacos and they were great. Let me start by saying that we are picky about our carne asada....it passed our test! The papusas were good, tho I'm new to them still. And the plantains were so delicious. The place is still new and was empty besides us. The food is good tho, so is recommend it. Of course since we were he only ones there, the service was great. I definitely plan to come back again.

I went there for takeout, and what a weird experience that was. Nobody else was there and it was pretty dark inside, so I wasn't even sure it was open regardless of the sign in the window. The horchata was gritty and unpleasant. The pupusas were so greasy they were difficult to eat, and they were thin, wimpy, and had very little filling. The strangest part was that the curtido was packed to go in just a regular old ziploc bag, which just comes across as profound apathy on the part of the restaurant. People in other reviews seem to be very happy with their dine-in experiences, but the take-out was so bizarre and disappointing that I won't be returning and would not recommend it to anyone else.
